Eisner 1925-2003 Ib
Eisner was born on There
he met the painter Vilhelm Wils (1880-1960).
Wils became a fatherly friend to the young artist, and they shared
their liking for the motifs of the Eisner
celebrated his artistic debut early, during the first year of his academy
career with the “Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling”.
Since then, he had exhibitions in “Den Frie”, “Møstings Hus”
and “Brøndsalen” in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen as well as
internationally (Sweden, England, Japan), to name only a few.
In addition, he organised several exhibitions with the most
influential Danish art dealer, Henning Larsen, in In 1948 Ib Eisner was awarded the title of Wilstrup Scholar, and in 1982 the Bakken-Oscar, donated by the Carlsberg-Tuborg brewery. During
his numerous stays abroad in During
an interim period he taught in the porcelain factory of Bing & Grøndahl
and gave private lessons in painting. In
1947 he married the weaver and painter Inger Larsen. Following
