focused on social life scenes, capturing the causal gatherings of
excursionists and strollers in the park. Similar to the illustrations of Dyrehaven, these portrayals are pictographic snapshots, assembled with sketchy brushwork, a painting technique supporting their fleeting character. Eisner generally showed no interest in the refined shaping of faces, sometimes portraying entire groups of people in a summarised way, with nothing but short colour strokes and spots.
